TRIPON-SM is the cost-effective, self-mountable OBU, for Road Pricing Systems in which the minimisation of the vehicle interfaces of the OBU is key.

It incorporates a DSRC 5.8GHz communication links according to the latest CEN TC278 standard and a GSM/GPRS modem with SMS capabilities. The high quality GPS receiver utilised is supported Assisted GPS functionality as well as the SBAS System.

The user interface consists of an overall status LED, 4 LEDs for Vehicle Classes,  a buzzer and a declaration key.

TRIPON-SM works on a external power supply from 9 to 36V DC which is supported by an internal backup supply. It can be connected to a cigarette lighter plug or wired to the vehicles power supply.
