The DSRC Support Beacon, a true FELA invention, is intended to support GNSS based OBU solutions in difficult road situations. The beacon uses standardised 5.8GHz DSRC communication to broadcast specific road, position, segment or tariff information. It could be seen as an earth based "Satellite Signal" supporting GNSS based tolling to guarantee best possible performance.
