TRIPON-CH is the On-board Unit utilised in the Swiss HVF Road Pricing System. It is a fully integrated wind-screen mount OBU, which is connected to vehicles power supply and the tacho pulse. The OBU is tamper protected by multiple levels of counter measures.

The system interfaces comprise DSRC 5.8GHz communication links according to the latest CEN TC278 standard and an IrDA 1.0 link with a data rate of up to 115.2kBaud. Also, a 12 channel GPS receiver with integrated antenna is included in the OBU.

The user interface consists of a graphical Liquid Crystal Display, a buzzer, 10 input keys with status indicator as well as a smart card interface.

TRIPON-CH also includes an unique enforcement monitor, consisting of 16 high power LEDs. With this display, the charging status of a vehicle can be checked without additional enforcement equipment.
